The Bible says

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Pro 19:17

We believe that education is the answer to improve individual development. Every civilization must aspire to labor towards child development. That’s why since 1997 Fondef fights to make a difference in many children lives in Haiti, by educating and feeding them on a daily basis.

Any body who loves kids should never be discouraged pursuing their dream of a brighter future for the children. They are the generation of tomorrow, and we can prepare a better society by investing our love and our resources in them. We know these children conditions are the results of their parents or families’ inability to respond to their needs. As members of the whole human race, we can join the fight against poverty, by improving a child’s life.

The Bible has several passages, although they seem relating to ordinary poor, which instead concerns those predestined for salvation.

Deu 15:11  For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

Psa 41:1  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver

him in time of trouble.

Pro 14:31  He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

Pro 22:9  He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

Pro 28:27  He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

Isa 41:17  When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

So, God names anyone who has to become saved “poor” because when He saves that person, he or she receives the gift of eternal life (Christ) as everything. In another word, that person becomes spiritually rich. That’s the main reason why God sends the gospel out to the poor, so poor mankind will inherit abundant and eternal life. Having said that, we believe, sharing physical needs to the physical poor can also have positive effect on their physical lives.

Do you feel blessed by God to bless someone else? May you join your effort with us to support the poor children of Haiti. Your loved financial contribution is very important for their education and physical needs.
